We are Himroo

Reviving a Legacy, One Thread at a Time”
Himroo sarees represent the pinnacle of Indian artistry. Our brand was born out of a passion for preserving the ancient craft of Himroo weaving—a tradition that traces its origins back to the royal courts of the Deccan plateau. With an unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity, Himroo blends traditional techniques with contemporary designs to create sarees that are as versatile as they are luxurious.

A Royal Legacy Reimagined

“From Palaces to Your Wardrobe”
Himroo weaving has its roots in the rich Persian and Mughal traditions, brought to India centuries ago. Once adorned by royalty, Himroo sarees were cherished for their intricate patterns, luxurious textures, and unique blend of silk and cotton. Today, we carry forward this legacy by working with master weavers who have perfected this art over generations.

The Hands Behind the Elegance

Himroo is a replication of Kinkhwab, which was woven with pure golden and silver threads in olden days, and was meant for the royal families. Origins of Himroo traces back to Persia and the influence of the same is seen in the designs.

Himroo, the unsung weave of Maharashtra, was once described by Marco Polo as
“the finest fabric of the Deccan.”
and was a fabric of choice for royal families and the elite.
Himroo is Inspired by Persian floral and paisley motifs, and woven in silk . It takes a weaver about 2-3 weeks to weave a handloom Himroo saree, creating with finesse, a light and luxurious satin base with buttery smooth texture, and no-zari silk thread-work designs.
